Every couples years for the last decade or so I’ve searched for some licorice hard candy coal candy. I had it every year as a kid in the 90s but it seems to have gone out of style, replaced by chocolate versions. The true coal candy I remember always came with a silver hammer. This version has the correct flavor, the hammer and an adorable pail. I can’t wait to share it with my husband on Christmas morning (although I couldn’t help making a small hole in the plastic wrap and trying a shard in advance). So happy to have found it again! It’s exactly like I remembered. This candy brings back lots of Christmas nostalgia for me. :’)
